This is a 9 minute video about the closing of the South Ferry Loop and the reopening of the South Ferry Station.

This terminal was originally opened in 2009, but had to close, due to the devastation of Hurricane Sandy in 2012, therefore, opening back up the South Ferry Loop.

4 1/2 years later, on June 27, 2017, the (1) train makes its final round to the first 5-car station. The loop closes and the terminal opens back up.

I've seen many railfanners like Alvis Wu, BrianMercy1022, Fan Railer, Tech and Transit and even Tim Fleischer of Eyewitness News.

I didn't talk to them because I was pretty scared about the fact that they might shoo me off. But, next time I see them, I'll say hi.
