The peace plan agreed by France, Germany, Ukraine and Russia in Minsk on Wednesday to stop the fighting in eastern Ukraine is a 'weak solution', according to Lithuanian President Dalia Grybauskaite.
Speaking to journalists on her arrival to the European Council meeting on Thursday, Grybauskaite said that “the control of the borders was not agreed or solved. That means that the border is open for any military equipment entrance.”
EU heads of state are holding an informal meeting in Brussels on Thursday. The situation in Ukraine, the euro, the Greek bailout, and the EU's work in the fight against terrorism are topping the summit's agenda.
