Today is an extremely special day for @am_media_ny as we are sharing our extremely very rare opportunity to witness and explore one of the craziest, loudest, fastest, and rarest Ferrari’s of all time. This is the Ferrari FXX EVO.

The Ferrari FXX is actually the car that kicked off Ferrari’s XX programme back in 2005. The XX programme offers special customers the opportunity to purchase ‘track-only’ variants of Ferrari’s most exclusive models through an invitational process. Not just anyone can be selected to own an XX car, in order to obtain one you had to be approached by the company itself. Since 2005, only three cars have been introduced into the XX programme: The FXX, the 599XX, and the FXX-K. The idea behind the XX programme was to offer clients an extremely track-ortiented variant of a Ferrari road car, and with that came exclusive events, your very own pit crew, and a full line of technicians every time you wanted to hit the track, all organized by Ferrari.

Contrary to popular belief, the XX cars were never forcibly kept at the Ferrari HQ in Italy. Though most clients did take advantage of the convenience of having their cars handled by the company and delivered to tracks and events. Out of all the XX cars made (so far) the FXX is by far my all-time favorite. The FXX is based on the street-legal, flagship Ferrari Enzo. The FXX does share some mechanics as the standard Enzo, but overall, the XX variant received numerous significant modifications in order to make it much more extreme. With just 30 units built for the entire world, the FXX is one of the rarest Ferrari models, and cars in general of all time. This FXX is equipped with the ‘Evoluzione’ package, which was introduced in 2007 as an updated development to the mechanics and aerodynamics of the car in order to enhance performance event further.
