Oh, the snow was falling bright,
In New York on Christmas night,
Santa flew with his reindeer crew,
Through the sparkling city lights.

Down he slid with gifts in tow,
But the chimney said, "Oh no!"
Now poor Saint Nick is stuck real quick,
And the laughter starts to grow.

Oh, Santa's stuck, he’s stuck, oh dear,
In a chimney full of cheer!
He wiggled left, he wiggled right,
But he’s staying here tonight.

The children heard his muffled plea,
From the fireplace they could see,
A jolly red suit and a shiny black boot,
Waving frantically.

They pulled, they tugged, they gave a shout,
"Santa Claus, we’ll get you out!"
With one big shove, from up above,
He popped free with a joyous bout!

Oh, Santa’s free, hooray, hooray,
Now he’s back upon his sleigh!
With gifts to share and love to spread,
He laughed until his cheeks turned red.

So if you hear a jolly sigh,
From a chimney way up high,
Leave some cookies, lend a hand,
And help out the merry man!
