Thanks to a report on heritageunits.com and a few hours of patience we were finally able to catch the last active Chicago and NorthWesten painted locomotive on the UP roster on the move just in the nick of time before the sun completely set. UP 2627, an ET44AH, is the leader on this Southbound with the UP 6706 second in the consist out of four and the train is mostly made up of lumber products. This bandit of the Jenks paint shop has made it 24 years into the Union Pacific merger without a full repaint outlasting both CNW 8646 and 8701 as well as all the other patched AC4400s while the last patched Dash 9s have been put into storage leaving only UP 6706 active. Filmed August 30, 2019.
