We show what Air Force Tactical Air Control Party (TACP) controllers go through during training. Applicants to this MOS are expected to be in good physical condition. They embed with Army and Marine units to assist in close air support. Training is very extensive and they are considered special forces.
Training is over a year long and takes places in Texas, Georgia, Washington, and Nevada.
Tactical Air Control Party (AFSC 1Z3X1) entry requirements:
US Citizen or Resident Alien
Pass a Medical Exam
ASVAB Score: 49 General
Extensive background check
Must be between the ages of 17 and 42.
