Today, I’m going to show how I paint the Legshield Trim & Footrest of my Vespa GTV
In this Video, I would go over on how to remove the glove box compartment, side panels, floor and Footrest to get access to the Legshield Trim. I’m going to detailed show you how I painted the Legshield Trim & Footrest of my Vespa GTV at home with basic tools and without spending that much money,
With that, here’s what I’m going to cover in this video.
#1: 00:31 First, I start off removing the glovebox.
#2: 04:21 Then, I show you how to correctly disconnect the cable behind the glovebox.
#3: 06:19 Then, I quickly show you how to fix the problem with the glovebox door.
#4: 07:58 after removing the glovebox, I show you how to remove the Footrest from the frame.
#5: 08:45 Then, I show you how to remove the side panels
#6: 09:39 Then, I show you how to carefully remove the rubber from the floor to get access to three screws to be able to remove the floor from the scooter.

#10: 13:35 disassemble the footrest arm to get it ready for "bodywork"
#11: 16:31 start sanding down the Legshield Trim to get rib of scratches and get them ready for paint.
#12: 18:39 painting The Legshield Trim!
#13: 19:55 after 24/48 hours, with both Legshield Trim already dry out, To refit, carry out the removal operations but in reverse order. just be careful and go gradually when pressing down the trim into the frame.
#14: 21:25 With both Legshield Trim already install, To refit the floor and the glovebox, carry out the removal operations but in reverse order.
#14: 22:05 Stripping the old clear coat from the footrest to get them ready for sanding.
#15: 23:27 after 24 hours, you can clean off the paint stripper with soap and water.
#16: 23:57 after cleaning off the paint stripper we can start sanding!
#17: 26:07 after 24/48 hours, with both Footrest already dry out, To refit, carry out the removal operations but in reverse order. 26:46
To refit the Footrest into the scooter, carry out the removal operations but in reverse order.
