I went back out to the oceanside rock pool where I recently debuted my BLU3 NEMO portable diving system for a second test dive, this time using my Minelab Equinox metal detector with the 6" coil for some more underwater treasure hunting! Today's goals were to re-test my buoyancy with extra weights, and to see if I could both hear and operate a full size metal detector effectively while diving.

Sadly, I discovered that wearing my thermals alone (no wetsuit) is no longer enough for my body to handle the dropping ocean temperature, so now I'll be saving up for a proper wetsuit before attempting any winter dives. 🥶
