Let’s go for a walk around Tamariz beach (Praia do Tamariz) which is a beautiful beach in the resort town of Estoril.
It’s a quarter of mile long beach with soft sand and clear water, being surrounded by rocks it’s wave and current free making it safe for everyone.
There’s also a seawater pool that during low tide retains water making it warmer than the surrounding sea.
It’s surrounded by numerous bars and restaurants and only a couple of minutes walk from the Estoril Casino and the train station is literally just behind the beach.
There’s a beach promenade that starts there and goes past the Santa Cruz Fort, (now a wedding’s venue), all the way to Cascais, it’s a beautiful 1 mile walk along the sea through several small beaches, if you are up for it.
It does get crowded in summer as it’s located centrally to Estoril town.
