PACIFIC OCEAN (May 19, 2015) U.S. Marines with the 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit load onto MV-22B Ospreys aboard the amphibious assault ship USS Essex (LHD 2) off the coast of Hawaii. Senior military leaders of allied and partner nations participating in the U.S. Pacific Command Amphibious Leaders Symposium in Hawaii observed U.S. Navy and Marine Corps expeditionary forces during exercise Culebra Koa 2015. Culebra Koa is a U.S. Pacific Fleet training exercise designed to demonstrate and increase joint proficiency in expeditionary operations. The exercise will also serve as additional training for the USS Essex Amphibious Ready Group prior to deployment to the Western Pacific and Arabian Gulf. (U.S. Marine Corps video by Staff Sgt.
