SLC-ORD: First flight of the year. Barely made it t due to long lines at the "Kiosk Assistance" desk (the joy of traveling during the holidays). A sunny but chilly day in Salt Lake City. As usual with SLC winters, lots of smog in the valley. I was originally in seat 24F but the woman next to me wanted her husband to sit next to her so I swapped out and he was in a Comfort+ seat, an upgrade for me.
Lots of Delta traffic in the morning with a few Southwest, United, and American planes around. Takeoff from 34R heading north with aright turn over Ogden and over the Wasatch Mountain range.
