It's been a bit since I've done a quick down and dirty proof of life/overview of an install. Certainly, things have been getting done here...just slower due to a full time job and two young children.
So continuing with my very popular 'poorly shot, horribly narrated, terribly edited' video series, I present to you:
Installation of ESU LokSound in a N scale Kato SDP40F locomotive with seperate mars light.
Model was dismantled, frame was machined for a 11x17 speaker and 3d printed housing. ESU 58741 'Kato USA' board was utilized. Seperate front (well, rear on AUX2) LED was added due to brightness issues with stock ESU SMLED on board, seperate 0402 wired SMLED was heat shrunk to a clipped mars light receptical. Motor tabs soldered in place and kepton tape added to isolate from frame. Sound file S0765 loaded and lighting and motor control re function mapped and tested.
Need YOUR Kato SDP40F converted to ESU LokSound?
