The Maserati MC12 GT1 epitomized GT racing in the early 2000s - This video shows three (!) MC12 GT1 driving on the race track and allows to experience a startup, their sound, acceleration and speed during a free practice session in Spa. Moreover, the video also shows a few Maserati MC12 Corsa, the road worthy version of the MC12 GT1 in the paddock.
Derived from the Ferrari Enzo, this 6-Liter V12 supercar vanquished the competition in the FIA GT Championship, taking 14 overall titles in seven years. Only 11 examples of the iconic Maserati MC12 GT were produced. For homologation, Maserati had to produce at least 25 Maserati MC12 Corsa -ultimately, they ended up producing 50 of them and which are surprisingly similar to the MC12 GT1.
