Before you prepare your spray solution make your last minute checks of the site to make sure it is safe to spray.
Check the direction and strength of the wind. One way is to tie a ribbon to a tall cane upwind of where you are intending to spray. If it is too windy, you may not spray. Check your pesticide label and the 5 day weather forecast on our website for guidance on what are acceptable wind speeds.
If you are spraying leaves, check that the leaf surface is dry and that rain is not imminent.
In some countries and for some pesticides it is a condition of use that warning signs are used. In all cases it is best practice to, so place all your warning signs at points of access to the spray area.
Check that there are no persons or animals in the area.
