Proven performance, plenty of hydraulic flow and great breakout forces, Ian Wood, walks Peter Haddock around the Wacker Neuson ET90 excavator powered by Perkins Engines.
Ian:" We launched the ET90 in 2015, and since then, it has been a hugely successful machine, popular with plant hirers and owner operators alike.
"Originally designed to accommodate the transition to Stage V, this was one of the first machines our engineers at our factory in Linz collaborated on with the team at Perkins. And now we have a range of machines that use Perkins engines, including our new EW100 compact wheeled excavator.
"The ET90 itself is a real workhorse on site. And thanks to our 3 pin bucket linkage, it delivers 20% more breakout force whilst also allowing the operator to extend the bucket's angle of rotation to 200 degrees.
"This means the operator can dig nice square holes whilst also curling the bucket to better load wagons without spilling material.
"For operators wanting to use tiltrotators or quick couplers, we can also provide up to four additional factory installed controlled circuits. And with the offset boom and compact design, it is ideal for use in confined spaces. This boom configuration also allows the cab to be tilted to provide clear access for maintenance, further supported by large access panels."
Peter added: “The ET90 is also a connected machine benefitting from health monitoring through its EquipCare telemetry system that allows users to collect data on carbon emissions for fleet reporting dashboards from the likes of MachineMax.”
Big thanks to industry influencer and our friend Nick Drew for operating the machine in this video.
