A Pakistani man with alleged links to Iran has been charged with plotting to assassinate US officials, including Donald Trump. US Officials said on Aug 6, that it had charged a Pakistani man who had recently visited Iran with 'assassination plots' in the US. Asif Raza Merchant, 46, was arrested in New York on July 12, one day before Trump was shot at, during a Pennsylvania rally.
