Next 10 June 2021, the Sun will offer an amazing annular eclipse, mainly visible from Canada, Greenland and Russia. As in the past, the Virtual Telescope Project will partner with some generous astro-imagers there to bring to you the stunning beauty of such a unique event.
We are putting together an international team, thanks to very generous people willing to share their views with the world: our observers will be in Canada, where the eclipse will be annular.
So far, the "June 2021 Annular Solar Eclipse Team" is composed as below:
- Bill Longo (Toronto, Canada);
- Malcolm Park (Toronto, Canada);
- Paul Owen (Saint John, Canada);
- Chris Curwin (Saint John, Astronomy by the Bay, Canada);
- Brendon Roy (Thunder Bay Center, Royal Astronomical Society of Canada);
- Randy Enkin (Victoria Centre, Royal Astronomical Society of Canada);
- Jim Thompson (Ottawa Valley Astronomy & Observers Group, Canada);
- Daniel Brousseau (Sherbrooke, Astronomes Amateurs de Sherbrooke, Canada);
- Luc Boulard (Sudbury Centre, Royal Astronomical Society of Canada);
- Colin Durocher (Sudbury Centre, Royal Astronomical Society of Canada);
- Antoine Garwah (Science Timmins, Ontario, Canada);
- Karim Jaffer (Montreal Centre, Royal Astronomical Society of Canada);
- Adrian Bradley (Great Lakes Association of Astronomy Clubs, Pointe Aux Barques Lighthouse, MI, USA);
- Trevor Kjorlien (Plateau Astro, Montréal, Canada);
- coordinator and live comment: Gianluca Masi (The Virtual Telescope Project, Italy).
The live feed covering the annular solar eclipse will start on 10 June 2021, starting at 09:00 UTC.
