One set of instructions said to charge her for an hour. Another set of instructions said to press a button to start the cleaning/mapping. I was too excited to wait... so now it has to charge for an hour and 20 minutes before finishing mapping the living room and the rest of the apartment. She has about 1/4th battery out of the box, and that was enough to map about 225sqft (15ftx15ft living room) in an hour. From that, I'd expect a full battery to map about 900sqft (225x4hrs) in 4 hours. Our apartment is 1100sqft.
Curious to see how long it takes to vacuum once the time consuming mapping process is done. She seems to move quickly when she knows where the boundaries are.
The iRobot app showed that she was "returning home", her light on her head was red, and so I decided to start recording. Its like she can see exactly where her home is, and it's rotation. How?! Engineering is so cool! and then, much to my surprise, we were able to observe her in her hyperdrive state as she disposed of her waste lol. I didn't expect that. Fascinating!
