This is episode 11 of our series in which two fellowship-trained thoracic pathologists chat about topics in the field (pathology of the lung, thymus, mediastinum and pleura). This week we are joined by our good friend and ace pulmonary pathologist from Barcelona, Spain, Dr. Irene Sansano. Join us as we talk about acute lung injury (organizing pneumonia and diffuse alveolar damage) and the pathology of COVID-19 in autopsy lungs.

These chats are informal, casual, educational and engaging. Most important: this is NOT a series of boring lectures where one person drones on for 60 minutes. We're just thinking out loud and sharing our thought process, and we hope that pathologists and even other doctors, patients and members of the public will learn something useful from these chats.
