The Delhi Police will file a chargesheet today against ten people, including student leaders Kanhaiya Kumar and Umar Khalid, in a sedition case that involved that use of anti-national slogans by Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) students in February 2016. Kanhaiya Kumar, Umar Khalid and Anirban Bhattacharya were were arrested that year for allegedly organising an event in the JNU campus against the hanging of Parliament attack mastermind Afzal Guru. There was outrage when allegations were made that anti-national slogans had been raised.
