On 31st May 2014 at RAF Barkston Heath, the Airborne Forces Memorial was unveiled from under its parachute silk at a ceremony led by Warrant Officer Benjamin Wildblood.
An address was given by Air Commodore C.J. Luck, MBE, ADC from RAF College Cranwell and the ceremony was attended by veteran paratroopers Les Ransom and Jack Taylor.
This short film covers the main events of the day including a fly past by a Dakota and Spitfire from the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight.
