Back in 1999, the incoming end of the millennium had some Canadians prepping for the worst. Reports that the Y2K computer bug could spark technological disaster were enough to send people to stores for supplies as tech firms rushed to implement potential fixes for clients. In the end when the calendar did flip over to 2000, there were no reports of major issues in Canada.
