Each year, men make up over 80% of new HIV cases in the United States. The vast majority of these cases include men who have sex only with other men (MSM), while only around 10% involve men who engage in heterosexual intercourse exclusively.

Just over 912,000 men are among the 1.2 million Americans living with HIV, reports the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

Although the absence of symptoms is no guarantee that HIV is not present, certain signs may indicate that you have the virus. There is no better time than now to get tested for HIV if you have risk factors but have yet to do so.
