Did you know the Nio EP9? Today we're going to go over some quick fast facts about the car. It came out in 2016 and it's the most expensive electric vehicle available as of 2023 at $3.48 million. Only 6 were made originally for investors, but 10 were added for the general public. It's unknown how many they sold. We've seen various horsepower figures as is accustom with electric cars, but the general numbers are over 1,300 horsepower and capable of over 200 mph from its electric engines. Unfortunately the vehicle was only sold in China and is a track only car. David Hilton was brought on board to design the EP9, the halo car of Nio. Hilton is known for also designing the Ford F150. The Nio has held many records as both an electric vehicle and as a general vehicle, but its most notable accomplishment was being the fastest autonomous vehicle, meaning it drove itself, at VIR (Virginia International Raceway).
