The “Drei-Kaiser-Abkommen” was one of Bismarcks infamous peace policies against a possible Entente attacking the german empire. Bismarcks most important foreign policy was based on preventing a 2 front war against 2 major powers. Especially France which Germany had previously defeated in 1871 was out on revenge for humiliating them in Versailles. The Drei-Kaiser-Abkommen was a major step towards establishing the german empire as the strongest nation in Europe. In consideration of the naïve policies of Wilhelm II. which led the german empire into a devastating double front war, Bismarck was able to secure security in case of war.
