✓ We never ceased to be amazed by what new street food we will "discover" next and in this video this is exactly what happens - we come across a stall selling Delicious Brazilian Flatbreads (the savoury pancakes are made from Tapioca / Cassava), it's something completely new to us, in that we've never seen it before.
Also new to us were the sweet treats called Churrus, which was freshly fried while we waited and then coated with a Cinnamon & Sugar mix and then filled with a gooey caramel filling.........DELICIMUNDO!!!
This is precisely one of the reasons we go onto the streets - it's in the eager anticipation that we'll perhaps learn something new.
The flatbread recipe is simply:
* Tapioca.
* Water.
* Salt.
We had the vegetarian filling, which consisted of: Red Onion, Tomato, Grated Carrot, Sweetcorn, Lettuce, Rocket Leaf and Cheese.
The Churros is gluten free because they use buckwheat & rice flour.
If you're planning to visit then you can find this stall trading on Thursdays and Fridays only at Whitecross Street Market (very close to Old Street Tube Station).
