This is my favourite song from the album written by me, Nick Atkinson and Andy Platts. It’s about reaching out to those who are struggling and letting them know they are not alone. This past year and half has been a huge strain on our collective mental health. Those of us who already felt emotionally isolated disappeared into their shells when we went into lockdown. Andy, Nick and I wanted to write a song to encourage those people to open up and pick up the phone.


Music enables an unspoken connection. You don’t need to know the artist to feel as though they know you inside out when a particular lyric hits home. When I’m struggling, and it feels too daunting to speak to a friend, I listen to music. And when that friend is trying to reach out to see if I’m ok Ella, Aretha and Nina give me the courage to pick up the phone.


Today is National Stress Awareness Day so why not take a moment to check in with a friend by simply sending them a song to let them know you’re thinking of them. 🎶 Just a song that reminds you of them… Maybe it’s the song you sang together when you got blind drunk at karaoke! Or the one you made up a dance routine for in your bedroom when you were 9! Whatever it is, I’m sure they’ll appreciate you getting in touch 💕 Keep talking to eachother…
