We finish up the weekend in Tahoe National Forest spending some time exploring a potential lakeside campsite, that turns out to be a bust. We make the incredibly steep descent down to the shore of the beatiful and majestic Deer Lake for lunch and play with the dogs. After lunch we ascend the steep and narrow trail to the top of the Sierra Buttes to the lookout where we take in the breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains, lakes and horizon.
