In this video I decided to show my first experience with rewinding a faulty motor armature of an old 1994 drill. After disassembling the drill I took the winding data from the armature (winding pitch, stacking direction, number of turns of wire in the coil, its diameter), and determined from which lamella of collector and armature groove the winding begins. In the video I will show the winding diagram and the order in which the coils are stacked. After removing the coils from the armature it turned out that the insulating gaskets melted and the collector was in disrepair because of the high temperature. I made the gaskets from fiberglass on my CNC milling machine and took a used manifold from another defective armature. Almost all the dimensions of the manifolds matched except for the outside diameter, the new manifold was 1.5 mm smaller. I decided that this should not interfere with the motor. After rewinding I did the static balancing of the armature. At the end of the video you will see what the result is.
