Within the small hamlet of Skenfrith on the English-Welsh Border you can find one of Wales's oldest Gothic churches that is still in regular Service today.
This is St Bridget's Church in Skenfrith.
-This Ancient church was consecrated in 1207 and has been in use for over 800 years and is one of the only churches of its kind still in regular use.
-This is one of 18 Churches in Wales Dedicated to St Bridget (St. Brigid of Kildare), In Celtic folklore she is known as the patroness of Poetry, Learning, healing among many other things.
- The church is free to enter and holds services every sunday. Within you can find lots of Artwork and scriptures, such as the 'Skenfrith Cape' and various tombstones alongside it's epic architecture.
- Right next to the church is the epic Skenfrith Castle Ruins, which are well worth the visit alongside the church.
