C# Minor Joachim Andersen Op. 21/10

This is an introductory video to the C# Minor etude selected for the 2020 TMEA All-State Flute auditions. The main focus of this video is to cover all of the rhythms in the etude. Feel free to count and play along with this video as it’s meant to be interactive with students. You can also pause at points where you’d like to practice more on your own. I will break down the music into smaller sections, count each section and give practice tips, then play each section. If you are having issues with rhythmic stability and playing with the metronome then this video is a good demonstration for you. I will also work on the second section of the etude (starting at the double bar line in measure 26) at a slow speed to help students make sure they are playing the right notes. This video isn’t the most exciting, but it is my hope that it’s a practical and useful video to help students tackle this etude. Thanks for watching!
