This is an arrangement of "Sealed Time," a theme originally composed by Mieko Ishikawa for Falcom's 1989 game, Ys III: Wanderers From Ys. I have arranged it for native playback on SNES hardware, and the audio was recorded directly from a launch model US SNES console.
I based this arrangement on the remix used in the 1990 PC Engine/TurboGrafx-CD version, which was arranged by Ryo Yonemitsu. It's the game's clock tower theme. Isn't it funny how clock tower level music always seems to be awesome, no matter which game its in?
This was one of my favorite tracks in the game, and since I've already done arrangements for two other songs from Ys 3, I though it was about time to tackle this beasty. And this version is my favorite one - the extra intro and bridge are excellent, and I've always loved that "time stutter" effect that was written into the music :)
Hope you like my redone version of the song!
(I am absolutely determined to avenge the injustices the SNES port dealt to this game's music! How someone can make such a good soundtrack sound so bad is beyond me.)
