Join me while I make Sfincione, delicious Sicilian pizza, a perfect snack or party treat!
Prep Time: 2.5 hours (incl. 1 hour to let the dough rest; 45 min to bake it)
[Ingredients for the sfincione](for 2-4 persons):
500g Pizza dough
500g Tomato Sauce
4pc Anchovy Fillets
50g Breadcrumbs
100g Caciocavallo or Mozzarella
1pc Onion
50g Pecorino Romano (grated)
A handful of Parsley (chopped)
1 glass Olive Oil
Salt
Pepper
[Ingredients for the pizza dough]:
500g flour
25g fresh yeast/1pck dry yeast
1tsp sugar
300ml lukewarm water
1pinch salt
1.Start by mixing the yeast with the sugar and water and wait until a foam has formed on the surface.
2. Now mix flour, salt and water until smooth.
3. Put into a bowl and cover. Leaver to rest for 45minutes or until it has doubled.
