Greetings Fellow Leaders With A Heart, in this episode, I am talking with a wonderful lady, a true Enlightened Soul and a genuine Leader With A Heart, Masami Sato, the co-Founder of B1G1. Masami is a simple person, an entrepreneur, she loves business and creativity, innovative thinking behind all businesses. She comes from very humble backgrounds. She was born in Japan and grew up as an extremely shy and quiet child, she loves spending time in Nature but didn't know how to make friends. As a result, growing up, she would talk to ants and animals, as a way to keep herself busy and happy.

She was exposed to business at a young age as she was helping her grand parents with running their small store in Tokyo. That early exposure to business gave her the taste for business. She also started traveling early on, backpacking the world because of her curiosity to know more and see the world. Through her travels, she's had some amazing experiences, which were eye opening, some quite challenging, like finding yourself in a country you don't know anyone, barely speak the language and where all of a sudden, your ATM card doesn't work and you only have a few dollars in your pocket.

One thing that stood out about her philosophy in life and business is that Life is a game that is meant to be enjoyed. That is a very refreshing approach! One which I personally resonate with a lot! And the biggest lessons she has learned in this process in this game, is that is not about us, we merely a piece in the game.

The origin of B1G1 is just one of those moments that is defined by asking a very powerful question: "what if each time business is done, good is done and someone in need gets to be helped?" That was the question that back in that fateful day in 2007 Masami asked her mentor, Mr. Paul Dunn. She had to really explain what she meant and then, the rest is as they say, History. However, it was not easy, it was quite a challenge that Masami and Paul were able to tackle head on and as a result, built a massive global organization over the years. So far, B1G1, has has positively impacted over 250 Million people worldwide!

We talk about the origins of B1G1, the challenges getting it started and going and how are they able to allocate 100% of all proceeds to causes.
