A full-page UP govt advertorial on Indian Express to promote CM Yogi Adityanath for the upcoming state election in 2022 has sparked controversy across the nation. The advertisement released by the UP government focussed on the development works by BJP in the last five years, often claimed as the most under-developed Indian state. But the collage of the photographs featuring CM Yogi Adityanath highlighting the changes has landed the party in controversy.
TMC Rajya Sabha MP Derek O’Brien mockingly said that CM Yogi Adityanath made 11 Bengal visits to acknowledge development works in Bengal. “We would like to congratulate the UP CM Yogi Adityanath for acknowledging the great works of Mamata Banerjee in Bengal,” MP Derek said in a press conference today.
