(27 Aug 2016) North Korea's Olympic team returned home on Saturday and were greteed by a small crowd of family and friends.
North Korea's Vice Premier Ro Tu Chol and Vice Minister of Sport Kim Jong Su were also there to welcome home the Olympic team.
But there was no motorcade and no crowds lining the streets - a common welcome in the past for North Korean sportspeople returning home after winning in competitions abroad.
North Korea won seven medals in Rio – two gold medals in weightlifting and gymnastics, three more silver medals in weightlifting, and two bronze medals in table tennis and shooting.
That's more medals, but less gold, than at the last Olympics in London, when North Korean athletes took home a total of four gold medals and two bronze medals.
North Korea's two golds came in weightlifting (Rim Jong Sim) and gymnastics (Ri Se Gwang).
Its three silver medals were all in weightlifting too (Om Yun Chol, Choe Hyo Sim, Kim Kuk Hyang).
And the two bronzes were in table tennis (Kim Song I) and shooting (Kim Song Guk).
