The university’s most prestigious international scientific event celebrated two anniversaries in 2022: the 30th anniversary of its existence and the 40th anniversary of launching the institution’s international training program, which is part of the Semmelweis International 40 series. The three-day event featured dozens of presentations in nine sessions held by prominent national and international experts and welcomed more than 600 participants. There were presentations on a wide range of topics, from endovascular surgery to the treatment of atrial fibrillation and translational research in regenerative periodontal surgery.
At the symposium, Dr. Péter Ferdinandy, Vice-Rector for Science and Innovation at Semmelweis University gave a short interview as the organizer of the symposium and talked about the most important goals of the event.
