A look at the drain holes on the Sea Eagle Fast Track 385. I bought the Sea Eagle Fast Track in March 2013 and have used it extensively in open waters around Singapore since that time.

One issue I had was water getting in the kayak in choppy conditions and how to get rid of the water. After asking a few questions I got no real answers so made my own tests and have found to have the drain holes in the back open during choppy conditions. This will allow some water into the boat - about 1 - 1.5 inches with my wife and I (a combined weight of 135kg ~297lbs), Obviously the lighter or heavier you are will let more or less water in. We found this much easier than continuous baling though. Overall I am pretty happy with the Fast track and would highly recommend it for portability, rugged design, ease of use, stability and we go on some very cool adventures, frequently padding 20km + per outing.
