Gaugler & Lutz oHG developed a sophisticated storage system in their new logistics center in Aalen-Ebnat (Germany). The leading supplier of materials and products for lightweight construction has erected a twelve-meter-high cantilever mobile shelving on 2,200 m², thus creating a parking space capacity for around 2,500 pallets. The transport of the pallets is handled by two electric multi-way sideloader MQ 30 from Hubtex Maschinenbau GmbH & Co. KG. These travel along inductively controlled routes into the new mobile racking system. The stackers precisely position the pallets in the designated space using the semi-automatic positioning system and make the most of the available shelves. As a result, Gaugler & Lutz benefits from maximum storage capacity thanks to optimized logistics processes.
