Careful prosthetic alignment is essential to ensuring the proper function of the C-Leg 4. A measuring device such as the L.A.S.A.R. Posture is used to optimise the prosthetic alignment before the user walks with the prosthesis. The distance between the socket and main electronics must always be checked when using the knee extender. If the distance does not reach the specified minimum clearance, the distal section of the socket must be readjusted at a minimum.
