I have been wanting to catch this iconic 747 for so many years so the fact I finally had the opportunity to do so is absolutely incredible! This is such a cool aircraft...
Boeing (Operated by Atlas Air) operates 4 of these specially modified Boeing 747-400's. These aircraft known as the "Dreamlifter" transport mainly 787 parts from Boeing factories around the world to the final assembly plant in South Carolina.
The 747 Dreamlifter has 65,000 cubic feet of cargo space (or 3x more space than a regular 747-400).
This specific 747-400 started its life in 1990 with China Airlines, and then
was delivered to Boeing in 2004 and completed its conversion to the Dreamlifter in Taiwan in 2007.
This is Boeing 2nd Dreamlifter that was converted after N747BC.
