Try making this instant dahi wade using jeera butter which not only tastes great but adds a unique flavour too!
INSTANT DAHI WADE
Ingredients
8 large jeera butter biscuits
4 cups thin buttermilk s
2½ cups yogurt, whisked and chilled
½ tsp rock salt
Red chilli powder for sprinkling
Roasted cumin powder for sprinkling
Date and Tamarind Chutney for drizzling
Chopped fresh coriander leaves for garnish
Method
1. Soak the jeera biscuits in buttermilk for eight to ten minutes till soft. Drain, squeeze lightly between your palms and set aside. Alternatively, soak the biscuits in four cups of warm water for four or five minutes and drain.
2. Place two soaked biscuits in each serving bowl, and pour chilled yogurt over them.
3. Sprinkle rock salt, chilli powder and cumin powder on top. Add a dollop of date and tamarind chutney and top with coriander.
