Today for Memories Of Hometown Heroics we are going all the way to Mother Russia to tell the little known story of a group of heroic women serving their country. The Germans knew them as Nachthexen or Night Witches and they were some of the most feared night bombers of World War 2. These women were part of three all women flying regiments in the Russian forces. Without their efforts and sacrifice we may be living in a very different world. So come along as we honor this hometown history. Remember, history is out there my friends!!!
