The crew of Voyager isn't too happy with the Doctor's holonovel. It's not that it's bad (it's actually quite a masterpiece), it's just that people might think that that kinda stuff, has actually happened on Voyager. So when the Doctor won't change his holonovel, Tom Paris does it for him, to show the Doctor their point.
Quite a funny outcome, if I may say so.
