About Dr Naresh Buttan:

Dr. Naresh K. Buttan is a Consultant Psychiatrist specialising in General Adult Psychiatry with over 15 years of experience. Currently affiliated with South London and Maudsley (SLaM), he has also worked extensively in the NHS and held senior positions in Australia and India. Dr. Buttan has a special interest in areas like Neurobiology, Transcultural Psychiatry, and PTSD. He is an External Adviser & College Assessor for the Royal College of Psychiatrists and was previously an Academic Tutor and Undergraduate Psychiatry Lead at the University of Plymouth.

Aside from his clinical work, Dr. Buttan is committed to education and workforce development in psychiatry. He has held the role of Training Programme Director for Higher Training in General Adult & Old Age Psychiatry at South West Peninsula Post Graduate Medical Education. Known for raising awareness about mental health, he has presented papers at conferences and contributed articles to public media. He runs clinics at Harley Street and is available for appointments.
