This video illustrates how to relocate your original image files from being managed inside the Aperture Library to Referenced locations outside the Aperture Library and preserving your Library organization in your disk folder structure. This is meant to be a companion video to my tutorial on migrating your Aperture libraries to Capture One catalogs.
It is imperative that all of your libraries be 100% referenced before importing them into Capture One. Capture One references the images in the same location Aperture references them. If they are stored inside the Aperture Library when you import that library into Capture One, Capture One will reference them inside the Aperture Library package directory. If you delete the Aperture Library, you will delete the files Capture One is referencing.
My videos and live streams demonstrate why I use Capture One for all my photo editing. Some highlight specific tools or capabilities. Some compare Capture One to other photo editing tools. All are intended to illustrate why I use Capture One after having used other tools for over a decade.
I encourage comments and questions. I try my best to respond in a timely manner.
