Aniruddha (Ani) Dasgupta, the Global Director of WRI Ross Center for Sustainable Cities at the World Resources Institute (WRI) talks to Matthias Ruchser of the German Development Institute / Deutsches Institut für Entwicklungspolitik (DIE) and answers the following questions:

(1) Last time we met you were the Director “Knowledge and Learning” at the World Bank and we spoke about 'Science of Delivery'. How does your present job different from the World Bank job?
(2) Urbanisation is a mega trend that is shaping our future and has dramatic influence on sustainable development. What kind of strategies is the World Resources Institute developing in order to shift urbanization towards sustainability?
(3) On each continent we see different types of urbanisation. Where do you see the main differences and challenges?
