Speaker 1: Today we're taking a look at the Fulton Two-Speed Trailer Winch. This winch features a first layer capacity of 2000 pounds and a full drum capacity of 1000 pounds. It can be used with either a rope or a strap. Those items are not included. The winch makes it much easier to pull their lift, large or heavier items. This particular winch is ideal for boat trailers.
It's going to offer a two-speed design to best fit your application, so you're going to have a fast speed, which lets you pull the line in quickly, and you have a lower speed, which offers an increased mechanical advantage for those really heavy loads.The unit features a shift lock design. This is a shift lock lever that lets you change gears without having to move the handle, so with this system there's no need to move the handle from shaft to shaft. All you have to do is push on this and then slide the shaft into the desired gear position and then the shift lock holds the shaft in gear. We have this position right here, that's one speed, and we have this position here, which is another speed, and then we have a neutral for free wheel position for quick line payout without the handle moving. So all we have to do is disengage the ratchet pull and then you can see how that spins without even budging the handle so it's a really nice design.
Also, this can engage in either position here so that way you can always use the handle to slowly let your line out as well as to bring your line back into the winch. This made from a durable steel construction with a Z-max 600 Zinc finish to provide superior corrosion resistance. That's a 600 hour salt spray rating.The handle radius from the center of where it mounts to the end of the handle is about 10 3/8 of an inch and because this is a two-speed winch, it has two gear ratios. So you have 4.1 to 1 and 9.8 to 1. Maximum mechanical advantage for this winch is 87 to 1.
When it comes to the drum storage, again I mentioned, it can be used with either a rope or a strap. If you're using a rope, it has a capacity of 7/16 of an inch diameter by 20 feet long, or if you're using a strap, it'll accommodate a strap up to 2 inches wide by 20 feet long.The base has multiple holes in it so it's designed to fit a variety of applications. Mounting hardware not included. The base itself measure 5 3/4 of an inch wide by 6 7/8 of an inch long and then the overall measurements of this unit, starting from the overall length from this point here to this point here measures 8 1/2 inches long.
