Stanley Kubrick's biopic of Napoleon Bonaparte is regularly hailed by critics as the most tantalising unfinished picture of all time. The level of detailed research and investment before even walking on to set was unrivaled. Sadly the film was never made but Steven Spielberg is said to be adapting it into a miniseries.
