Migration is a gendered process that impacts men and women differently. Gender stereotypes limit women's autonomy and decision-making processing, increasing their vulnerability to the systematic violation of their human rights. That is why migrants, and in particular women migrants, need to be included in advising the policy-making, in order to make sure that their needs are taken into account, that they receive the best possible protection and are given the means to integrate their new communities .
